Wichita, KAN. - York University walked away with several pieces of hardware after the KCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Three members of the squad were crowned KCAC Champions. Anthony Hodson and Maria Geesaman each came away as the champion in the 600-meter run. Amber Dominguez picked up a first-place finish in the weight throw.

Several others finished in the top three in their events making them 1st-Team All-Conference honorees. Dominguez earned the honor in both the weight throw and shot put. Geesaman added the 800-meter race to her tally as she took runner-up, while Makayla Dinkler finished second in the long jump. Candice Jones was third in both the shot put and the weight throw.

On the men's side of things, Jerod Belden took third in the pole vault to earn his 1st-Team All-Conference award.

Second-team All-Conference was given out to those who finished in 4th-6th place. Those honorees for the Panthers were Dinkler in the high jump, Belden in the 60 meter hurdles and high jump, Andrew Heinrichs in the high jump, Kamrie Dillan in the 200, Madison Gookin in the weight throw, and Alphonse Jackson in the shot put.

Both the men's and women's 4x400 relay also earned 2nd team All-Conference. Those teams consisted of Dillan, Geesaman, Abigail Zaiger, and Ty Irvin for the women, and Hodson, Kaleel Stevenson, Belden, and Heinrichs for the men.

Honorable mention honorees were top-eight finishers and included Dillan in the high jump and 400-meters, Heinrichs in the 400-meters, Jaden Beske in the high jump, Ascha Utter and Elizabeth Zeiger both in the weight throw.

The Panthers have four athletes headed to NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships in South Dakota. Maria Geesaman will be running the 1000 meters for York. Amber Dominguez qualified in the weight throw, Alphonse Jackson in the shot put, and Jerod Beldon in the heptathlon.
