WICHITA, Kan. – The York University men's track and field team tied for 12th at the KCAC Indoor Conference Meet, which wrapped up Saturday.

Josh Nething's team picked up two points at the meet.
The quartet of
Conner Neuhalfen,
Braden McNair,
Zion Atwood and
Austin Oman crossed the finish line in 3:38.38, which was good enough for eighth place.
The Panthers' other point occurred when
Zion Atwood snagged eighth place in the pole vault after clearing 3.70m.
In the 800m, McNair narrowly missed a top-10 finish. He was 11
th with a time of 2:03.20. Atwood secured 18
th place with a time of 2:06.76.
Conner Neuhalfen snagged 18
th in the 60m (7.20). In the 200m, he crossed the line in 23.52, which was good enough for 21
st.
Oman secured 19
th place in the mile after posting a time of 4:49.51. In the 3,000m,
Drew Lugafet crossed the finish line in 10:01.82, which allowed him to place 20
th.
The women's track and field team placed 10th at the event. The team scored seven points. St. Mary won the meet with 170.50 points while Friends (130.50) and Kansas Wesleyan (121.50) were second and third, respectively.
Cierra Dringman was sixth in the 600m. She posted a time of 1:41.38, earning her three points. She earned a point in the pole vault by taking eighth (2.80m).
The 4000m DMR team secured seventh place, picking up two points. The quartet of Maisie Briscoe, Dringman, Samantha Bayer and Megan DeHart crossed the line in 15:05.26.
In the 800m, Samantha Bayer earned a 10th-place finish. She crossed the line in 2:44.30. Megan Johnston placed 12th in the 1,000m with a time of 3:40.00.
Briscoe took 15th (6:14.92) in the mile while Megan DeHart was 17th (6:25.14). Alana Barron recorded a 16th-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.38m.
In the 60m, Abby Davis crossed the line in 8.71, which was good enough for 19th. She posted a 19th-place finish in the 200m after crossing in 28.70. Alana Barron earned a 20th-place finish in the 400m with a time of 1:05.95.
Eliana Cooper took 19th in the long jump (4.24m) while Abby Brooks secured 24th place in the shot put (9.35m).
In the weight throw, Naomi Taake was 22nd (11.20) while Allie Parker (11.17m) and Brooks (10.62m) were 23rd and 24th, respectively. Megan Burdge took 29th with a mark of 8.69m.
The Panthers return to action Saturday, Feb. 21, when they compete at the Loper Tune Up in Kearney, Neb.
