KEARNEY, Neb. – The York University men's track and field team were well represented at the UNK Pre-Holiday Meet Friday.
Tytan Taylor had a tremendous effort in the 200m, winning the event in 23.62. Teammate
Trenton Orlando claimed the title in the 600-yard event after finishing in 1:18.57. Teammate
Jaden Beske was eighth (1:27.27).
Alphonse Jackson won the bronze in the shot put after a mark of 15.09m. Fellow Panther
Cooper Dillan placed 16
th (11.02m).
Jackson narrowly missed out on a top-three finish in the weight throw. He amassed an effort of 15.53m for fourth place.
In the 60m, Taylor took ninth after crossing in 7.03. Dawan Cash (7.33) and
Cooper Dillan (7.70) were 16
th and 26
th, respectively.
The Panthers return to action Jan. 11 at the Scott Nisely Invite.
