SEWARD, Neb. – The York University women's track and field team had a solid outing at the Polar Dog Classic Friday.
In the field events,
Elizabeth Zaiger garnered a mark of 15.20m for ninth in the weight throw.
Candice Jones was right behind her, snagging 10
th place with a throw of 14.76m.
Delanie Namuth took 20
th (13.84m) while
Ascha Utter placed 25
th (13.20m).
Namuth recorded a 10
th-place effort in the shot put after a mark of 9.48m on her second attempt.
Cierra Dringman posted a 10
th-place effort of 1:03.87 in the 400m. Abby Schopper (1:07.50) and
Lauren Tucker (1:10.90) were 14
th and 15
th, respectively.
Kamrie Dillan registered a 10
th-place finish in the 200m after crossing in 26.85. She also tallied a 13
th-place effort in the 60m with a time of 8.25.
The 800m saw
Jadon Hess earn a 12
th-place finish (2:45.07) while
Morgan Dinkler was 16
th (3:06.70). Megan Dehart narrowly missed a top-20 finish in the mile, crossing in 6:50.86 for 21
st place.
The Panthers return to action Friday, Jan. 24 at the Prairie Wolf Invite, which is hosted by Nebraska.
