Track & Field: Lady Panthers compete at Lopers Tune-up


KEARNEY, Neb. – The York University women's track and field team took part in the Loper Tune-Up Friday afternoon.
 
Head coach Josh Nething's team secured a pair of top-three finishes and five more top-20 efforts on the day.
 
Abbygail Davis secured the silver medal in the 400m, clocking a time of 1:07.877. Teammate Alana Barron was right behind her, snagging third with a time of 1:08.27. 
 
Katy Soucek snagged 12th place in the shot put with a mark of 10.67m.  
 
The squad had four student-athletes compete in the weight throw. Allison Parker led the way with a 17th-place effort after recording a mark of 11.30m. Naomi Taake was not far behind her, snagging 18th with an effort of 10.51m. Megan Burdge accounted for 19th place with an effort of 10.15m while Soucek was 20th with a mark of 10.02m.
