LINCOLN, Neb. – The York University women's track and field team put forth a solid effort at the Prairie Wolf Invite Friday.
Kamrie Dillan posted a top-10 time of 27.20 in the 200m, which was good enough for eighth place. Abby Schopper was 15
th after crossing in 29.00.
Cierra Dringman (29.57) was 16
th while
Alana Barron (30.73) and
Lauren Tucker (31.04) were 17
th and 18
th, respectively.
Dillan accounted for an eighth-place effort in the 400m. She crossed the finish line in 1:03.55.
In the 800m,
Jadon Hess, Megan Dehart and
Morgan Dinkler were 12
th, 13
th and 14
th, respectively. Hess wrapped up the event in 2:47.48 while Dehart posted a time of 2:53.80. Dinkler raced through the finish line in 2:55.46.
Candice Jones guided the Panthers in the weight throw with an eighth-place finish. She posted a mark of 15.11m. Fellow seniors
Ascha Utter and
Elizabeth Zaiger were 12
th and 13
th, respectively. Utter recorded a mark of 13.76m while Zaiger notched an effort of 13.71m.
Delanie Namuth and
Alexis Gibbons were 19
th and 21
st, respectively.
Zaiger posted a 10
th-place finish in the shot put after registering a mark of 12.17m. Jones was not far behind her, snagging 12
th place after garnering an effort of 12.08m.
The Panthers return to action Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Fred Beile Classic starting at 10 a.m.
