WICHITA, Kan. – The York University men's wrestling team had a solid performance at the Falcon Open Saturday.
In the 174-lb. class,
Dayton Fraser accounted for six points. He started the day with a pin fall victory in 5:42 against an opponent from Newman. In the consolation bracket, he picked up a victory via forfeit before edging past a Dakota Wesleyan foe by a 7-6 count.
Caleb Davis also competed in the same class and scored three points. His win in the championship portion of the match came via a forfeit.
In the 165-lb. division,
Jamie Watts picked up 0.5 points. In the consolation bracket, Watts posted a 10-8 decision over his opponent from Grand View.
Cole Schaub competed in the 133-lb. class and
Blake Mingle competed in the 184-lb. division. Neither were able to pick up wins at the meet.
The Panthers return to action at the Grand View Open Nov. 15.
