OTTAWA, Kan. – The York University men's wrestling team dropped a 41-11 contest to Ottawa (RV) Tuesday evening in a road contest.
The Panthers are now 0-5 on the season, including 0-3 in KCAC action.
Head coach
Shawn Contos' team opened the match with a victory in the 125-lb. division.
Travis Reidy notched a hard-fought 6-4 victory over Kallen Koelzer.
Hector Holguin followed it up with a superb 16-1 technical fall win in just 2:04 against Parker Burk in the 133-lb. class.
In the 174-lb. division,
Dayton Fraser accounted for a 10-6 victory over Spencer Rochelle for the team's final points of the evening.
Conner Thurston lost a 19-4 technical fall decision in the 157-lb. division.
York lost five matches via forfeit (141-lb., 149-lb., 165-lb., 184-lb., 197-lb., and 285-lb.).
The Panthers return to action Thursday, Jan. 15, when they host Avila at 6 p.m.
