DES MOINES, Iowa – The York University men's wrestling team competed at the Grand View Open Saturday.

Shawn Contos' team saw
Travis Reidy secure five points in the 125-lb. division. He opened the meet with a bye. After dropping his second match, Reidy earned another by in the consolation bracket. He posted a win via medical forfeit over his opponent from Cumberlands.
Hector Holguin began the tournament with a bye in the 133-lb. class. After falling in the second round, Holguin narrowly lost a match to his foe from Campbellsville. He came up just short in the 11-7 contest.
Elijah Kaawa competed in the 149-lb. division. He lost in the opening round via fall before dropping a decision to his foe from Cornerstone by a 4-1 score.
The Panthers return to competition at the UNK Open on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m.
