CRETE, Neb. – The York University women's track and field team took part in the Fred Beile Classic Saturday.
Kamrie Dillan earned an eighth-place finish in the 400m after posting a time of 1:03.24.
Cierra Dringman was 10
th in 1:03.49 while Abby Schopper (13
th – 1:06.09) and
Lauren Tucker (16
th – 1:09.27) posted top-20 marks.
Tucker and
Alana Barron narrowly missed spots in the top 10 in the 200m. Tucker was 11
th after crossing in 30.83 while Barron was 12
th after finishing in 31.17.
Jadon Hess garnered a ninth-place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:39.08 while
Morgan Dinkler was 12
th with a time of 2:53.00.
Morgan DeHart accounted for a 16
th-place effort in the mile after crossing in 6:32.43.
In the field events, Dringman notched an eighth-place mark in the pole vault with an effort of 2.70m.
Candice Jones narrowly missed a top-10 finish in the shot put, claiming 11
th with a mark of 12.00m.
Elizabeth Zaiger (17
th) had a top-20 finish after posting a mark of 11.31m.
The Panthers' teammates of Jones and
Delanie Namuth recorded top-20 efforts in the weight throw. Jones took 14
th with an effort of 14.73m while Namuth was 19
th after posting a throw of 13.73m.
York had a pair of top-10 finishers in the pentathlon. Schopper took eighth with 2,331 points while Dillan was ninth with 2,193 points.
The Panthers return to action Friday, Feb. 14 when they compete at the KCAC Indoor Conference Meet.
