SALINA, Kan. – The York University men's track and field team recorded a ninth-place finish at the KCAC Championships, which concluded Friday evening.

The Panthers recorded 26 points while Evangel won the meet with 163 points.

The Panthers were led by Alphonse Jackson's fourth-place finish in the shot put. He posted a mark of 14.95m.

Andrew Heinrichs notched multiple top-10 efforts, including a fifth-place finish in the 400m (49.79). He was seventh in the 110m hurdles, crossing the line in 15.29.

In the 100m, Tytan Taylor accounted for a sixth-place finish after recording a mark of 10.84. Taylor notched a 10^th-place finish in the triple jump (13.50m).

Cooper Dillan garnered an effort of 42.95m in the discus, which was good enough for eighth place. He posted an 11^th-place mark in the javelin, recording an effort of 46.96m.

Jaden Beske tallied a 14^th-place mark in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.76m. Heinrichs was 16^th in the long jump with an effort of 6.26m.

Trenton Orlando posted a 17^th-place finish in the 400m (51.82) while Beske was 28^th (56.07). Zac Oakleaf was 29^th in the discus (28.14m).

The quartet of Heinrichs, Jordan Norton, Orlando and Taylor combined for a time of 42.65 in the 4x100m, which was good enough for sixth place.

The Panthers return to action at the NCCAA National Championships May 8-10.
