SEWARD, Neb. – The York University track and field teams performed well at the Concordia Invite, which wrapped up Monday.

Josh Nething's squad saw
Conner Neuhalfen earn the silver medal in the 200m with an outstanding time of 22.34. The rookie continued his stellar day with a fifth-place finish in the 100m prelims. He notched a 100m qualifying time of 10.93. Due to a technical error, the 100m finals time was not recorded for any student-athlete.
Trenton Orlando snagged an eighth-place finish in the 400m. He crossed the line in 52.51 while Neuhalfen was 12
th after posting a mark of 53.15.
Braden McNair snagged a 10
th-place finish in the 1,500m with a time of 4:17.49. Teammate
Austin Oman was 23
rd after clocking a time of 4:32.18. In the 800m, McNair crossed the finish line in 2:06.95, which was good enough for 26
th place.
Drew Lugafet notched a 13
th-place effort in the 10k, registering a time of 37:16.11.
In the field events,
Jaden Beske garnered a 10
th-place effort in the high jump. The senior recorded a mark of 1.74m.
Zion Atwood posted a 20
th-place effort in the long jump after recording a mark of 5.56m.
On the women's side of things
Katy Soucek nabbed a fifth-place effort in the discus. She posted a mark of 42.79m for the outstanding finish. She also accounted for a 16th-place finish in the shot put. On her second effort, Soucek recorded a mark of 10.96m.
Cierra Dringman recorded a 12
th-place effort in the pole vault. She cleared a height of 2.68m.
Alana Barron led five student-athletes in the javelin throw. She posted a mark of 30.05m, which was good enough for 14
th place.
Naomi Taake was just behind her, earning a mark of 29.32m.
Morgan Dinkler narrowly missed a top-20 finish, taking 21
st with an effort of 27.27m. Allie Parker was 23
rd (25.23m) while Maya College was one spot behind her in 24
th (25.16m).
In the hammer throw, Allie Parker was 20
th (39.61m).
Megan Burdge took 23
rd (33.31m) while
Katy Soucek (26
th - 31.58m) and
Naomi Taake (27
th - 31.15m) also competed in the event.
In the running events, Dringman garnered an eighth-place finish in the 400m hurdles. She tallied a time of 1:10.92.
Megan Johnston led a trio of Panthers in the 1,500m. She registered a time of 5:51.30 for 14
th place. Megan Dehart was 18
th after crossing the line in 6:01.39 while
Lauren Tucker was just behind her in 19
th after notching a time of 6:05.01.
Abby Davis posted a 15
th-place finish in the 200m after registering a time of 27.82. Teammate Eliana Cooper was 21
st after recording a time of 30.66.
The Panthers return to action Apr. 11 at the Hastings Invite.
