LINCOLN, Neb. – The York University men's track and field team put together a solid effort at the Prairie Wolf Invitational Friday evening.
The Panthers were led by
Conner Neuhalfen's second- place finish in the 200m. He notched a time of 22.16. Neuhalfen also snagged an eighth-place finish in the 100m after crossing the finish line in 11.03.
Trenton Orlando posted a 15
th-place effort in the 400m with a solid effort of 51.56.
Drew Lugafet secured a fourth-place finish in the 5,000m. He accounted for a time of 17:48.17. The 400m hurdles featured
Zion Atwood, who claimed 11
th place. He finished the race in 1:00.92.
Braden McNair led a pair of Panthers in the 1,500m. He registered a time of 4:20.75, which was good enough for 14
th place.
Austin Oman was not far behind him, taking 19
th after recording a mark of 4:24.73.
McNair posted a 26
th-place finish in the 800m after registering a time of 2:07.98.
In the field events, Atwood recorded a ninth-place finish in the javelin. He recorded a mark of 27.91m on his first attempt, marking his top effort in the competition.
Jaden Beske tied for 12
th in the high jump. He cleared 1.74m, tying Chance Elwood of Hastings.
The Panthers return to action at the KCAC Championship Apr. 30-May 1.
