OTTAWA, Kan. – The York University women's wrestling team lost a 44-5 decision to No. 13 Ottawa Tuesday evening.
The Panthers are now 0-3 overall, including 0-3 in KCAC action.
Head coach
Jeff Albers' squad picked up a forfeit victory at the 117-lb. division.
Makayla Meyer recorded the win.
Jocelyn Prado competed in the 103-lb. class against Aynsley Fink. Prado dropped a 10-0 contest via technical fall.
Grace Conner lost to Sydnee Baldwin in the 110-lb. division with a pin fall.
Ryanne Dunn dropped her match in the 138-lb. class to Aileen Lester with a fall. Angie Rose (180-lb. division and 207-lb. division) fell in her contests in decisions via pin falls.
York lost four matches via forfeit (124-lb., 131-lb., 145-lb., and 160-lb. divisions).
The Panthers return to action Friday, Jan. 16, when they host Midland University at 6 p.m.
