WICHITA, Kan. – The York University women's wrestling team was well represented at the NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships.
Jill High competed in the 131-lb. division. After falling to No. 4 Olivvia Mottley of Life via technical fall, she received a bye in the consolation bracket.
High competed against Lexie Garza of Eastern Oregon, who was seeded No. 19. Leading 4-0 in the first round, High promptly secured a pin fall win at the 1:36 mark.
High's next opponent was Mary Jane Porter of Cumberlands. She fell behind 13-0 before securing two points. However, it was not enough in the 13-2 technical fall loss.
