The York College Panthers will face Kansas Wesleyan at 3 p.m. today in Great Bend, Kansas. The Panthers and the Coyotes will face off for the fifth time this season as the Panthers currently hold the advantage as they've swept all four games this season. The teams haven't seen each other though since the middle of March, so a lot has potentially changed.
The Panther offense still holds rank in four national statistical categories: total runs scored, total runs batted in, runs scored per game, runs batted in per game. York's offense hasn't had much issue all season but defensively has struggled a little bit as they currently have a an ERA over 5.5 and have committed some costly errors throughout the season. Even with some defensive struggles the Panthers still were able to win a share of the KCAC regular season title with Tabor College.
After the Panthers finished the regular season with a sweep of Friends University they moved up four spots in the coaches' poll to 12. The Panthers currently hold a 41-13 record going into the postseason, as they look to secure an Opening Round bid for the second straight year.
