Baseball: Johnsons' highlight first-team All-Conference for Panthers

Panthers have nine players named to the KCAC All-Conference team and Nick Carney (JR/Pleasanton, CA) earns Gold Glove. Michael Johnson (SR/Union City, CA) and Billy Johnson (JR/Oakland, CA) earned first team honors as they helped lead the Panthers to a share of the regular season conference title. Garrett Anctil (SR/Clovis, CA), Nick Stoll (SR/Fresno, CA ), Jose Bueno (SR/Oak Hills, CA) and Ulysses Ramos (JR/Union City, CA ) earned second team honors, while Timmion Hughes (JR/Vallejo, CA), Ivan Perez (SR/Clovis, CA) and Corey Mixon (JR/Lake Isabella, CA) earned honorable mention.

Michael Johnson powered the Panthers late in the season as he currently has a team high 16 home runs. Billy Johnson leads the team and the conference in runs scored with 81. Ramos currently has 74 strikeouts on the season which is fifth best in the conference. Anctil was chosen as the second best catcher in the conference posting a fielding pct. of .978 and throwing out 10 runners on the year. Nick Stoll was second on the team in batting avg. and currently ranks third in the conference with a .418 avg. Bueno is fourth on the team in batting avg. hitting .369. Perez led the team in batting avg. hitting .456 but with injuries missed over half of the conference regular season. His numbers were still good enough to earn honorable mention honors.

Mixon is the team leader with 11 wins on the season and Hughes has a team high 37 stolen bases.
