Box Score 2 Day two of playing in Kansas City ended much like the first. The Panthers played a strong game against MidAmerica Nazarene to fall at the end 5-4. Then the Panthers offense struggled against a strong Concordia team and fell 15-1.
Game One Highlights
York was on the board first in the second inning, but MNU followed suit in the bottom half to lead 2-1. York led 4-2 going into the bottom of the sixth inning. Daniel Tomkiewicz came in to close things up for the Panthers but struggled with his placement of pitches. He walked two batters and allowed two runs in just two-thirds innings. Marce Vasquez came in to relieve Tomkiewicz and got the Panthers out of the jam with the score tied 4-4 going into the final inning. York fell in walk-off fashion once again as the Pioneers scored with one out.
Game Two Highlights
Concordia led from the get-go scoring three runs in each of the first two innings. The Panthers didn't earn a hit until the fourth inning when they trailed by nine runs. Mitchell Crawford batted in Blake Hernandez for the only score of the game for York. The Panthers were outhit 18-6 in the game.
