Box Score Oklahoma City, OKLA. -
The Panthers had a tougher time answering the call on Saturday afternoon against Oklahoma City. After rain delayed the start by more than two hours the York bats struggled to come to life. The Stars kept the Panthers' batters off the mark most of the day. In the contest the Panthers were only able to pick up one hit, late in the seventh inning.
Austin Eisenmenger got the start for the Panthers but was only able to go one and one-third innings before being pulled. He gave up two runs on two hits and two walks. Nick Thach was asked to come in and the Stars had his number combining for nine hits and scattering seven runs across the board. Pitching coach Erik Gray strung together a solid bullpen to replace Thach as Bryce Tucker, James Mockry and Zane Barnett each allowed just one hit in their season debuts.
Tony Riley picked up the only hit for the Panthers as he doubled to right field with one out. Two batters later and a hard grounder by Eric Chambers, the Panthers were on the board.
The Panthers have this weekend off before traveling to Kansas on Feb. 19 for a doubleheader against Baker University.
