York scored in the first and second inning to keep the game close. But the Swedes scored three runs in the third and never looked back as they cruised to the eight-inning win.
Tony Riley hit an RBI single in the first inning to score Nicholas DeMonte. Daniel Polo tied the game in the second with a solo home run. The Panthers scored their final run thanks to a Bethany error that allowed Tyler Loureiro to cross home plate.
Zane Barnett picked up the loss as he went three innings before being chased out of the game. He allowed six runs, five earned while striking out one batter.
The Panthers pitching staff as a whole struggled a little as they allowed 14 hits, eight walks, and two hit-by-pitch.
York will travel to Sterling, Kansas this weekend for a three-game series with a Warriors.
