Box Score YORK - After losing the first two games of the series with Kansas Wesleyan the Panther made sure to take the final game as they pounded out 17 hits in the 12-4 rout. Luke Juarez dominated from the plate with five hits and four RBIs.
York started off strong as Tony Riley hit a monster shot over the grandstands in left-field for a two-run homer. The Coyotes were able to get one back in the third inning to make it 2-1 after a home run. Nicholas DeMonte answered for the Panthers in the fourth when he hit a bases-loaded double down the left-field line. Jesus Licon followed up with a single scoring two more runs and making it 6-1.
Kansas Wesleyan had a little offense going in the fifth as they scored two runs to move it to a 6-3 lead for the Panthers. Luke Juarez answered right back with a three-run shot over the center-field fence to lead 9-3.
York scored twice more in the seventh and then Austin Eisenmener homered in the eighth inning to cap it off at 12-4.
Ruben Colliander pitched a solid game going six innings and allowing just three runs. He struck out six batters as he picked up the win. Nick Thach pitched two innings of relief as well as Ian Heck closing out the ninth.
York travels to Oklahoma Wesleyan this coming weekend for a big series matchup that has KCAC postseason implications.
