Box Score 2 York and Oklahoma Wesleyan met in Bartlesville, Oklahoma for a conference doubleheader. Oklahoma Wesleyan coming in with a 22-5 record was ready to play but York didn't go down easily in game one. Oklahoma Wesleyan swept the series winning game one 6-4 and game two 7-2.
Game One Highlights
York struggled to hit off Eagles pitcher Maddy Wiese early in the game but was able to put up two runs in the fourth and sixth innings. Oklahoma Wesleyan had a big second inning scoring five runs but did not score again until the fifth inning. York's offense was sparked by Lauren Chapman's two-RBI triple to the right-field fence. Kate Reyes got the loss allowing six earned runs and striking out three. Bailey Hardey threw two innings giving up just one hit and no earned runs.
Game Two Highlights
Much like in game one York struggled to get their bats going. York put up just three hits and left four runners on base. Erika McClung recorded the Panthers' only RBI of the game on a double down the left-field line. Malia Alvarez got the loss pitching three innings and allowing six earned runs. Bailey Hardey also threw three innings allowing one earned run.
