York came out hot against the University of Saint Mary Spires in their conference matchup in Leavenworth, KS. In the doubleheader, the Panthers put up 24 hits, twenty runs, and five extra-base hits. Bailey Hardey and Malia Alvarez both threw complete games for the Panthers. The Panthers won game one 7-2 and game two 13-5. The Panthers are now in a three-way tie for the eighth seed in the KCAC and have their next game against Avila on the 19th at home.

Game One
York came out ready to play, scoring two runs in the first inning on a Sofia Perez 2-RBI single up the middle scoring Katy Fazendin and Breanna Underwood. The scoring did not stop after the first, the Panthers also plated a run in the second and three in the third on an RBI double from Sofia Perez and a 2-RBI double from Morgan Peterson. The Panthers pieced together twelve hits in the win. Bailey Hardey got the start on the mound throwing seven innings and allowing four hits, two earned runs, and striking out four.

Game Two
York got off to a rather slow start not scoring in the first two innings but had an explosive third inning scoring eight runs. Kayla Noelker had a great game going 3-4 with five RBIs and scoring two runs. Katy Fazendin was another standout player going 2-2 with an RBI and scoring two runs. There was a short rain delay in the top of the fifth inning but York did not let this slow them down scoring four runs in the top of the fifth inning. Kennedie Anderson also had a stolen base in the win. Malia Alvarez threw all five innings for the Panthers allowing four hits, two earned runs, and striking out two.
