Wednesday the York Women's Softball team had a conference doubleheader at Sterling College. York got the split on the day, winning game one 10-7 and losing game two 10-2. The Panthers' offense was looking good as they had 17 hits in game one and 8 in game two. York's next game will be on April 8th at home against Kansas Wesleyan.

Game One
York came out slow but had a big fourth inning scoring four runs. Kennedie Anderson got things going for the Panthers with a two-run home run. York was able to piece together a few more hits and score another three runs in the fourth. The Panthers put up another five runs in the seventh inning led by Kayla Noelker's 2 RBI single and Morgan Peterson's 2 RBI double. Malia Alvarez got the win allowing two hits, three runs, and striking out four. Bailey Hardey threw for 2.1 innings allowing five hits and four runs. Kate Reyes got the save striking out two.

Game Two
York's bats were not as hot in game two as they put up eight hits and scored just two runs. Sterling started early, scoring two runs in the first inning and scoring six more in the third and fourth innings. York's Nevaeh Reed and Sofia Perez each hit a double, Morgan Peterson had the team's only RBI, and Breanna Underwood had one stolen base. Kate Reyes got the loss allowing eight hits and eight runs. Bailey Hardey allowed three hits and two runs.
