WICHITA, Kan. – The York University men's golf team finished 14th at the Falcon Cup Classic, which wrapped up Tuesday.
The Panthers shot 153-over par, 1017. York posted its best round of the tournament on Tuesday, notching a score of 35-over par.
Francisco Carvalho Gouveia climbed four spots on Tuesday for a 54
th-place finish. He wrapped up the event at 22-over par, 238.
Tanner Simmerman moved up five spots during the final round and tied for 67
th place. He shot 36-over par, 252.
Christian Flint jumped into 71
st place – up three spots from Monday's finish. He completed the event at 43-over par, 259.
Malachi Meador and
Aiden Espinoza were 76
th and 77
th, respectively. Meador finished the tournament at 57-over par, 273 while Espinoza garnered a 64
th-over par, 280.
Indian Hills CC won the tournament at 19-under par. Friends University was second at 12-under par, while Garden City CC finished third at six-over par.
The Panthers return to action Oct. 19-21 at the KCAC Men's Match Play Event.
