YORK, Neb. – The York University women's wrestling team opened the dual match portion of the schedule against Saint Mary (RV) Sunday afternoon and lost a 28-20 decision.
Head coach
Jeff Albers' team started the match with
Jocelyn Prado taking on Destiny Jones in the 103-lb. division. Prado lost via fall.
Grace Conner dropped a technical fall decision (15-0) to her foe Alexsys Jacquez in the 110-lb. class.
The Panthers got on the board as
Jill High recorded a forfeit victory in the 131-lb. division.
After
Ryanne Dunn lost a 12-0 technical fall match to Skylur Lewis in the 138-lb. class,
Maddie Davis picked up a win via pin fall against Allison King in the 145-lb. division. Davis bested her opponent in just 2:16.
Piper Kunnap lost via pin fall to Kirstal Zamora in the 160-lb. class.
Between both teams, five matches resulted in forfeits.
