LINCOLN, Neb. – The York University women's track and field team recorded a solid all-around day at the Prairie Wolf Invitational, which wrapped up Friday evening.
In the 1,500m,
Megan DeHart posted a time of 5:42.82, which was good enough for 24
th place.
Megan Johnston took 28
th after crossing the finish line in 6:00.38.
Lauren Tucker was one spot behind her after turning in a time of 6:04.30.
Cierra Dringman notched a time of 18.05 in the 100m hurdles, allowing her to place 21
st. Abby Davis' mark of 13.77 in the 100m put her 24
th. In the 200m, she was 23
rd with a time of 27.70.
Dringman also competed in the 400m hurdles. She registered a seventh-place effort with a time of 1:10.51.
In the field events,
Alana Barron started things off with a 12
th-place finish in the javelin. She amassed a mark of 32.26m.
Mayah Colle was 16
th (30.51m) while
Morgan Dinkler (29.59m) and
Naomi Taake (29.55m) were 16
th through 18
th, respectively.
Katy Soucek garnered a 10
th-place finish in the discus. She posted a mark of 41.34m. Dringman narrowly missed a top-20 effort in the pole vault. She cleared 2.66m.
Soucek took 23
rd in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.94m. Allie Parker was right behind her, taking 24
th with a mark of 39.50m.
Megan Burdge was 26
th with a mark of 38.88m.
Eliana Cooper registered a 19
th-place effort in the long jump. The rookie posted a mark of 3.93m.
